Ascent Aspirations Magazine is pleased to announce the winners and contributors for the AguaTerra Issue.

In the AguaTerra Issue of Ascent Aspirations Magazine we set a theme of earth and water but left the interpretation wide open.

“We inhabit this world with its skin of earth and water, as one species among many. It is here where all living things exist. Our theme for this issue encompassed poetic expressions that relate to sustainability, diversity, biophilia, life cycles, relationships with ourselves and all species, the preservation of life, hope for the future of the planet and all things, caring, stewardship, friendship with the planet and all living things. Poems were able to touch on some aspect of the issues and concerns related to any of these ideas.”

Sixty-six poets and 102 poems grace the pages with new and creative work in this soon to be published anthology. We chose the work in a blind judging format and let the merit of the poetry fall out of our decisions. There were 412 submissions from over 140 poets. Ascent Aspirations thanks all poets who submitted and supported this venture.

The anthology, although a magazine in name, will be published in the form of a perfect bound book of 140 pages featuring the biographies and pictures of the poets along with their poetry. The publication will be an exciting addition to Ascent Aspirations two previous print issues and we hope all of our readers share our excitement.
